Embodying Place and Time in the Therapeutic Encounter - Weekend workshop October 4th (evening) to October 6th (after lunch) 2024
Following the success of these workshops in the last two years my colleague Matthew Henson and I are providing this final introductory weekend workshop in October 2024. This time it is on a residential basis ( camping) at Crann Og Eco farm outside Gort in Galway. .
The workshop is aimed at practising psychotherapists, counsellors, art therapists, dance movement therapists, psychologists, etc, or students in those disciplines. It might also be of interest to anyone in the broader caring professions; social workers, teachers, youth workers, medical practitioners , alternative and complementary practitioners, etc. It is equally suited to those looking to work in an ecologically informed way with clients and to individuals looking for ecologically informed personal development. The workshop can serve as a standalone experience, or as an introduction to an in-depth, year-long programme run over 4 weekends in 2025. No previous formal qualifications are required
The cost of the 15 CPD hour workshop, including facilitation by two trainers, two nights’ camping accommodation, lunches and evening meals, is €330. Limited indoor accommodation is available at a small additional cost .

We will be running a programme beginning in April 2025, at this same venue, facilitating a process of deeper ‘ecological’ connection with ourselves, other humans and the other-than-human ‘natural’ world, through a series of four closed-group residential workshops over a 12-month period. Embodying Place- Garden as Studio . Workshops in person return in 2024 .
These day long workshops will be held over the summer in July, August and September . These workshops are of interest to gardeners, therapists, healers, artists and those interested in developing climate consciousness. This theme explores how we move and work in our gardens amidst the changing movement of the garden itself and how these movements shape and inform who we are, how we move in the world, our creative expression and our relationship with the natural world. Body in Movement - A Move into Life workshops with Sandra Reeve 26th and 27 th October 2024
I am delighted to host this workshop following the success of Ecological Body last year in the garden here at an Talamh. There have been many requests for Sandra to return with her workshop - Body in Movement. She has kindly agreed to travel and will lead this workshop in Sligo again at the end of October.
There are two places left on this workshop taking place in the beautiful Cabragh Lodge, Collooney, Sligo. No previous experience is required to attend this workshop and newcomers to this work are very welcome. Eco Supervision - embodied, embedded, emergent supervision .Group and individual appointments available.
Eco Supervision is a form of creative supervision which begins from the place of movement of our own bodies. Equal value is given to the articulation of the moving body as to the spoken word. This can afford fresh perspectives and insights to the work being presented in supervision. These workshops will be of interest to therapists working in any setting but particularly the outdoors. It is also available to those working in other professions who have an interest in exploring the relationship between the human and other than human world.
